About Window Tint Percentages

tint-percentagesVisual light transmission (VLT) percentage determines the darkness of a window tint.  VLT percentage is the amount of light that is allowed to pass through a window film.  For example, a 30% window tint will allow 30% of the light to pass through the film while blocking 70%.  So, lower the VLT percentage, the darker the tint.  You can get an approximate idea of the VLT percentages from the image (click for larger view).
